To whom it may concern, I, Zachary William Hose, am writing this as a first sorts of documentation for the harassment and violations from the management and kitchen experienced as an employee at the Outback located in East Mesa, Arizona. After weeks of trying to tolerate this hostile work environment in hopes that it would subside, I have finally had enough given that the harassment and failure to uphold committed duties, recognize policy code, and treat others equally and fairly all are a continuous actions that prohibits a productive work environment and triggers my mental illness. With every shift I work with Scott McNeil I am met with a rude and unapproachable manner as evidence by eyerolls, sarcasm and negative low-breathed commentary, sabotaging orders to upset tables or interfere with tips, intentional efforts not to help, an aggressive tone, and more. I have informed a manager, Steve, one day when this hostile work environment really got to me and stated that I am on prescription anxiety medication so to please be weary on how you treat me compared to how you treat the other senior servers youve had time to build such rapport with. The managers tolerate talks of profanity, sexual conversations that make me and other staffers uncomfortable, and aggressiveness all the while there are guests out on the floor and employees needing to do their job and process transactions for the guests; it appalls me that a kitchen operates like that on the clock. I have been offended by the staff and the way this Outback operates. Because I informed a manager of my mental condition and because they did nothing but snark at me about it and let this hostile behavior from them towards me continue, I believe I am a victim of discrimination associated with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). According to the ADA Section 12112. Discrimination it states, No covered entity shall discriminate against a qualified individual on the basis of disability in regard to job application procedures, the hiring, advancement, or discharge of employees, employee compensation, job training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment. I believe Scott McNeil and his team have discriminated against me in a hostile work environment by proof of intentionally not giving me adequate training in hopes to see me fail, even more so when I said I was sensitive due to my mental illness, and then taunted me about the mishaps that they seeded when an action would unfold. When I would come to them with genuine questions about the customers needs, they would laugh in my face and walk away. I believe that this harassment is severe and offensive as evidence by the managers not taking matters involving checks and transactions worth hundreds of dollars for the business seriously. This hostile work environment is an ongoing process as after weeks and weeks of this poor behavior from the staff experienced by me all of this has now unfortunately come to pass. There have been multiple occasions in which Scott has said rude remarks to me for no reason which gets me very sad, throws me off my game for the day, and inhibits me from working in a positive manner. There have been multiple times in which I got a manager involved for the safety and over all fluency for the table and business and they plainly did nothing. For example, on Friday, August 25th of 2023, during the evening shift right before closing I was servicing a table very well and they enjoyed my presence. Their meat got cooked wrong twice both times in which I had rung in correctly and walked back and verbally spoke with the back house about to ensure communication and proper enjoyment for the guests. After the kitchen not doing their part on cooking the tables meat properly twice, the table asked for a manager. When the manager got involved, the table immediately did not like how he spoke to them, and you know what happened? They got up and got in the managers face and intimated me and him and then walked out on their tab and I was left with nothing. I had the table in a good spot with all this happening but how come when the manager got involved instead of going over there and being nice, they went over and made matters worse? Were the managers purposely trying to start something? Interfere with my tables experience and not care on purpose? When it comes to hundreds of dollars and real people we should care. Due to these hostile behaviors and violations, it has caused my mental health to worsen and has prohibited me from doing my job adequately. The mangers have failed to intervene and address this matter as proof by me telling them on multiple occasions of these issues and them doing nothing about it. The aggression and failure still continue if not worsens and the managers do not care. And dont even get me started about fairly scheduling servers; the managers have their favorites probably because theyre young girls or an older man whos been there for 4+ years. I am a hard worker and like to be proud of the company and people I work with, but the behavior Scott gave me yesterday, August 27th, has crossed the line and has pushed me to quit the job. I am very sad and now am in a difficult financial position because of this. Its upsetting because I showed up on time, I worked hard and proved I was a good server, I showed others kindness and was brave. I tried really hard to stay and make this position work but the managers and the way they treat their servers and operate that kitchen is so horrible. I am surprised its been going on so long unchecked. I go in the back to check my tables food and theres people cussing at each other loudly, cooks watching movies instead of checking the temperature of the meat, one manager in the back by the dumpster smoking a cigarette, and the other manager always near the young take-out girls. Like is this how a kitchen operates? I come from working a great server job at a P.F Changs in California. I loved severing I paid my bills with it for many years. I loved saying I am in the restaurant business, but this place, Outback in East Mesa, has made me hate myself and what I do for a living. The managers here should be ashamed. EaArrived at Outback Steakhouse in Fayetteville NC. Arrived at 6 pm table 13 SvrCk 12 party of 3 on 7/12/2023. No prompt service ordered our drinks and a appetizer. Appetizer came out burnt full of grease. Did not receive our drinks until at least 15 min after appetizer. Meal order had been placed, while waiting ran out of tea told will be bringing refills, meals arrived no refills. Lobster Mac and cheese cold to touch. The 12 oz Ribeye was ordered rare it came well done. Still no refills on drinks, no one checked back over 20min approximately. Waiter came back ask him to take away the Ribeye and told him it was well done, I did not want another one due to my guest already eating and the time it took the meals to get to the table. Water came back said manager was coming to speak with me.I did not ask for the manager, however the table behind me did they were having service issues. Manager came and stated they were recooking the steak? I ask for rare so if they recooked it, the steak was going to be Well Well done. I stated I did not want another steak for reasons as stated previously. Refills for *** arrived at the table and they were someone elses order. Manager came back and again, she then ask if I wanted a fresh steak cooked. I declined and ask for the bill. I did not ask for any compensation, I just wanted to pay and leave. The manager came back with the bill and had took off the Ribeye and appetizer. I told her that was not necessary I intended on paying my bill. She said that she took it off as a courtesy. I paid the bill no tip was left due to the vast unprofessional service and attitude of staff. This was a very fitting evening for me and my relatives for tomorrow morning I will be burying my mother. I thank your establishment for making a very difficult situation worse. I will not be returning or frequenting your establishments again nor will I recommend it to others. Preferred solution: I do not know what you can offer as a resolution to this issue. The only reason I say this is the customers in the booth behind us was having issues with staff and brought their complaints to the manager.

Way overcooked! I like my steak very rare. In the past orders I had delivered they were perfect. I order at least once a week, and was very pleased! Now out of nowhere I get a steak that was more of a medium. (Maybe the cook hated rare bloody steaks...I do not know). I happily pay for a good steak. I am homebound and this brings me great pleasure. But, I am not content with paying $$$$ for something I won't eat. I tried to call the restaurant but did not get anyone (they were open). Please!!! Don't leave me hanging...I thought I had found the perfect place.

Poor service

Sept 29, 2023 My name is Peggy Howell, age 72, Naval veteran, divorced from cheating spouce, have cancer, live in Lake Charles, La 70611, phone 337-309-****, mother of 3 and grandmother of 6. I went to Outback today to meet up with a couple lady friends that I havnt seen in 2 or 3 years. We all have health issues but was excited to see each other again. It was Friday at 2.20 pm when we arrived. The place was mostly empty. We had a young waitress handling 2 tables. She never asked us what we wanted to drink for several minutes. Finally I requested a drink from the bar and water. The other two ladies asked for Virgin drinks from the bar. We were told they didn't serve that multiple times. She just didn't seem to understand that we wanted the drinks minus the alcohol. When she came back to the table she brought only 1 glass of water. Then she disappeared so we asked another worker for 2 more glasses of water. Finally we got our bar drinks and little loaf of bread. Again we couldn't find her so we asked another worker for a spoon. We had been sitting there close to a hour and she never asked us what we wanted to order. Other customers were coming in and getting food. So we decided to pay for our drinks, leave and go to another restraunt. She never apologized or tried to talk us into staying. On our way out at 3.25pm, we passed a booth with two ladies that had been seated about 5 minutes prior. Since the waitress was hanging at their booth we assumed they were friends. I happened to hear negative remarks being made about us. One remark the woman said loud enough so I would hear her was "racist". I stopped in my tracks. I asked her what did she say. Yes we were white ladies and they were black. But our complaints had nothing to do with her color and everything to do with poor service. She was still standing by their booth. The black customer started yelling at me when I told her what our complaint was. She didn't want to hear it, she wanted to cause a scene about race. I just walked away and left her screaming and stopped at the front and let the young man know how insulted we three were about the service and the rude customer and the waitress that didn't try to fix anything or stop anything. In my opinion that customer should have been asked to leave or shut up for attacking other customers. That waitress needs to find a job she can do. That restraunt use to be higher class customers but it is going downhill fast. We will never step foot in that place or recommend it to anyone. The staff looked like mostly Mexican and some blacks. I dont know if that has anything to do about their poor service or not. No one tried to get us to stay, apologize, offer to rush our food out or attempt to make the customers happy in anyway. We went to another establishment where we had a great waiter and wonderful service. The food was great and we left generous tips to show our appreciation. We don't care what race someone is but we do expect proper service, especially at a higher end restraunt.

Outback is not high end and definitely does not get a higher class of customers. You are a perfect example of that.

You aren’t even aware of what garbage you sound like saying the staff looked mainly Mexican and black. Next time you want steak grill out at home when you have your next Klan meeting.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. It was very easy to Settle the problem.

I just don't go back there anymore! This was not a one-off problem that I experienced. It has happened the last 3 times I have visited Outback and I don't plan to go back again. There are many other choices out there..

In my opinion, Outback has a systemic problem with the quality of their meat and my experience is not just with one location. Never agan!

I thought it might be a one-off thing, but I just had my 3rd BAD experience at Outback. I ordered the 8oz sirloin. It came and was full of gristle and inedible. I sent it back and the replacement came back just as bad. If sirloin is this bad they should remove it from the menu. I just asked that it be taken off our bill. They did and I guess I am satisfied. Prices keep going up and the quality is still low! Maybe the $39+ ribeye would be better.

Hi, my name is Angela and Richard Ramirez. We are long-term customers we went to the outback steakhouse in Lakewood California. There were no men restrooms there were three Porta pottys on the outside. My husband got up to use the restroom. He went in the Porta potty and to his discussed they were overfilling with bow. It was so disgusting. We were having a beautiful evening with our daughter and we just got up and left. We thought about how in the world are the men servers washing their hands and serving our food at the same? My husband said this was the most disgusting experience he had ever had

Went to Outback in Anderson SC Service was good Ask if they had new cooks blooming onion I ordered was so crispy. It hurt your teeth to even try to eat., then went back potato and state came back. Terrible meal

Sunday evening Sept. 9 I dined at our local Outback in Ledge N.J. We were a group of four seniors .We all decided on prime rib .We had salad that was very good . We all requested medium rare .Three came too rare .They were returned over cooked but we decided to just eat .The 3 steaks were so tough we could not cut them . We called our waiter and requested the manager .He came immediately and adjusted our bill .He offered dessert. Not wanting to take advantage we asked for 2 cakes and a coffee .The cakes were so hard that neither the spoon or fork could break a piece off and there was ONE strawberry sliced into 4 pieces between the cake .The coffee was cold with no sweetener or cream offered .We decided to pay the bill and leave .I asked nicely if I could get a hot cup with the cream and sugar .Our waiter dropped the bill on the table with no acknowledgement at all and never returned .We had decided to tip according to our original bill which would have been close to $200 but when he acted so rudely we decided on tipping on the charged amount .We left $12 . Well my understanding is corporate off has made a decision to remove the big screen tv out . What a poor decision with the football season about yo start and the Jacksonville jaguars gaining popularity in this area. College sports in Florida. All youre going to continue to do is push your clients to the Texas Roadhouse.thats not a good decision . Are used to travel a lot as a project manager for the government, I always made a point of eating at outback steakhouse us. I went last night to the outback steakhouse in Westlake and the food was disgusting. The steak was cooked completely wrong. The shrimp on the Barbie look like they were the size of mussels and dried up. The only good thing I could see was the bartender whose name was London was very pleasant. I really really miss the beautiful steaks and service that outback steakhouse used to reward me with. I will not go back to outback ever again. Sayonara, M. Moore

I went for lunch at your restaurant on Niagara Bld in Amherst NY.There was a strong smell of urine,it was so strong I couldn't eat there,and I was disappointed because it's one of my favorite restaurants. Even though they move us twice ,but it was even worse,we were seating near the bathroom at first ,but was move but as I said it got worse.
